Goedefroit Music
Since 1972
Welcome
This website and pictures are signed ©GOEDEFROIT MUSIC, as so often music pictures worldwide. That label – big in Belgium – sounds like an impersonal photo agency. Nothing less is true. Goedefroit Music unites one double life’s work.
A double life's work
In 1972 Jan Goedefroit publishes first concert photo. It’s an Ike & Tina Turner shot. When Jan dies in 1992, leaving his wife behind, his legacy is a unique archive of portrays and concert photography. Carline Vandercuyssen, Jan’s partner in rock, has been photographing tirelessly ever since.
Half a century after that first photo, the incomparable private archive of both forms one whole, connected by one name, Goedefroit Music, and one vision of the role of the rock photographer: it’s the music, stupid!
